Sputnik is an author, speaker, story teller, adventurer, business strategist and internationally awarded creative who has worked at some of the world’s biggest advertising agency groups including Clemenger BBDO, Leo Burnett and Ogilvy both here in Australia and South East Asia. During that time he has worked across almost every business category imaginable for clients large and small including CocaCola Amatil, DaimlerChrysler, Hardys Wines, Caltex, Singha Beer, Disney, Unilever, The Simpsons, Tourism Australia and Mercedes-Benz.

In 2010 he won the AADC  ‘Silver Watering Can’ President’s Award for outstanding contribution to the Advertising industry and was given a life member of the AADC.

He is the author of ‘The Swashbucklers Guide to Becoming an Astronaut‘ and ‘The Swashbucklers Guide to Running Away from Dinosaurs‘, the creator of ‘The Job Hunter’s Boot Camp’, is a regular blogger for Firebrand Talent, has written for various newspapers and magazines, and if he’s to be believed, is currently working on his next book.

He’s written, shot and directed numerous videos, TV commercials and short films, and in recent years shifted his focus to include still images, usually of the natural world – some of which have been used for South Australia Tourism, Kiwi Trail Runner magazine (New Zealand), Trail Run Mag (Australia), Trail Runner magazine (USA), and Lonely Planet. He has appeared on SBS’s Insight program, co-hosts the movie review show on Radio ABC Adelaide, and is a regular guest on the breakfast show talking about his ‘favourite things’ which almost always including things about nature.

Sputnik continues to consult for companies here in Australia and overseas developing innovative strategic and creative solutions. But more often than not, he can be found in the outback or wilderness on some sort of adventure, on a road trip, or, when he’s not injured or being lazy, running trails.
