About this picture.
For those of you who like to know the story behind a picture, here’s the story behind this one.
No one exactly busted a boiler coming up with a name for these birds, but they are seriously awesome. They’re one of my all time favourite birds and I photographed these two over on Kangaroo Island. You can quite often hear them well before you can see them because they have a pretty distinctive call, (they sound sad to be me), and even though you sometimes see them in flocks, they’re actually listed as vulnerable in South Australia which is a massive bummer and might be why they sound sad. Maybe they sounded happier before we stuffed up their environment?
Paper: Printed on Ilford Galerie Textured Cotton Rag 300gsm. This is a 100% Cotton Rag Matt paper with a textured surface for fine art printing. It’s an archival paper that gives lasting image stability.
Note: This print comes unframed, that bit’s up to you.
